At his sole discretion, the Chairman may accept additional nominations up to the time of the election.

Neither more than eight nor less than four additional committee members are to be elected

The following are the retiring Additional Committee Members: Jackie Alderton, Noreen Ayton, Miranda Champion,
James Garrow, Rosey Storey, Michael Taylor, and Hilary Trigg.

Nominations must be received in writing, duly

proposed and seconded, including confirmation of the nominee’s willingness to stand, by Monday June 18" 2007. A
form for this purpose has been posted on the Vivace Chorus notice board.

Minutes Of The 2006 Annual General Meeting

Minutes had been circulated prior to the meeting
Minutes were signed as a true record and copies placed on file. The minutes were proposed by Margaret
Parry, seconded by Chris Robinson, all in favour.

Conductor’s Report (given by Jeremy Backhouse)

Jeremy gave an overview of the musical year, introduced the programme for the forthcoming season and

talked about the need for commitment from members to support all concerts as well the need to recruit new

members so that we can be heard when we employ a full orchestra. He concluded by thanking Jeremy Filsell,

the Committee and others who work behind the scenes assisting with publicity, auditions and librarian duties.

Chairman’s Report (given by John Trigg)
Thanks to Jeremy Backhouse for his enjoyable rehearsals and his strong direction at concerts.

John Trigg felt it was time for someone else to take over from him as Chairman but unfortunately there were

no other nominations.

We continue to make progress as the Vivace Chorus: we have the Fairfield Halls concert in September and
the Grace Concert at Christmas, thanks to Rosey Storey for this latter contact. We do need everyone’s
support by singing in these concerts, they are part of our total year's programme and people should not just
pick their favourite music to sing

Other planned events are a 60" birthday party and a “Come and Sing” in January 2008,

give a very polished performance. But we need help with staging liaison, marketing for the programme, a
concert manager, a secretary, someone to liaise with newspapers and other media, and a Freiburg organiser.

Christine Medlow does a wonderful job to ensure that the right music is there at the right time.

Officers were nominated, proposed and seconded via a Nomination Form which is held on file.
Votes were unanimous, with no abstentions.
Elections were as follows: Chairman - John Trigg; Secretary - Sarah Dann; Treasurer - Bob Cowell;

Membership Secretary - Jane Sweaney.
Nicky Vale volunteered to liaise with Freiburg for visits and other relevant issues.
Hilary Minor volunteered to perform media liaison

Alan Batterbury volunteered to be the Staging Co-ordinator.
The position of Marketing Secretary for programmes remains open
Thanks to Jackie Alderton’s husband Chris who looks after front of house and other duties on concert nights.

REPORT AND ACCOUNTS FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30TM APRIL 2007

1.

This will be a summary report on the accounts. A full version of the accounts and report to the Charity
Commission is available for anyone to view.

This year we had a deficit of £5,608 against a deficit last year of £442. This is mainly due to reduced concert
income and increased concert and rehearsal costs. Due to the increase in subscriptions, income from tax

refunds was increased from £3,102 to £3,812.

As you know, we have been unable to use the Choir's piano for much of the year due to the fact that we
rehearse in the Church. We did seek a buyer outside but, since the piano has a metal frame it is twice the

weight of modern equivalents and removal costs made it unattractive.

Looking to the future, the choir continues to be in a sound financial position but reserves have reduced by
about £5,600 to around £50,000. We cannot continue to lose money at this rate. We all need to work harder
at getting a larger audience and recruiting more members

be our Independent Examiner for the next financial year.
