Once again the Vivace Chorus’s exclusive Ultimate Christmas Plum Pudding is being
offered for sale to discerning choir members.
Our Ultimate Plum Pudding is one of the finest Christmas puddings you can buy. It has won a
Gold at the ‘Great Taste Awards’ — the food industry’s ‘Oscars’ and is endorsed by the BBC
Good Food Magazine and by Chef Magazine as being one of the best home-made puddings.
It is used by top chefs and sold as prestigious private labels (including Harvey Nichols)
throughout the country. For our fundraising, the puddings will be attractively packaged with the
Vivace Chorus logo and so will make an ideal gift as well as for your family.
A very small craft manufacturer in Cumbria makes the pudding and it is absolutely gorgeous.
The recipe is from a family of really good cooks, three of whom had restaurants in the Good
Food Guide. All the vine fruits are soaked in lots of brandy and dry sherry. Fresh breadcrumbs
and freshly grated carrot help give the pudding a lighter texture. Ingredients are top quality and
much more varied than usual — almonds and walnuts, stem ginger, apricots, cherries, freerange eggs, as well as best raisins and sultanas. Most people have no idea that Christmas
pudding can be this good.
