Once again the Vivace Chorus’ very own quite delicious Ultimate Plum Pudding fundraiser is
coming your way!
Christmas puddings are on almost every family’s festive shopping list and the Ultimate Plum
Pudding is one of the finest Christmas puddings you can buy. It has won a Gold at the ‘Great
Taste Awards’ — the food industry’s ‘Oscars’ and is endorsed by the BBC Good Food
Magazine and by Chef Magazine as being as good as the best home-made puddings.
It is used by top chefs and sold as prestigious private labels (including Harvey Nichols)
throughout the country. For our fundraising, the puddings will be attractively packaged with the
Vivace Chorus logo and so will make an ideal gift as well.
A very small craft manufacturer in Cumbria makes the pudding and it is absolutely gorgeous.
The recipe is from a family of really good cooks, three of them had restaurants in the Good
Food Guide. All the vine fruits are soakedin lots of brandy and dry sherry. Fresh breadcrumbs
and freshly grated carrot help give the pudding a lighter texture. Itis not steamed until it is
black so it is not caramelised and bitter. Ingredients are top quality and much more varied than
usual — almonds and walnuts, stem ginger, apricots, cherries, free-range eggs, as well as best
raisins and sultanas. Most people have no idea that Christmas pudding can be this good.
You will love it. Your friends and relations will love it too. It's so easy to order. Simply fill in the
order form (below) and return it to the Ultimate Christmas Pud box with a cheque made
payable to ‘The Vivace Chorus’ by the rehearsal on Monday 12" November. We have
managed to hold prices to the same level as last year.
